Fall Y'all Bloggy Giveaway

Update: We have a winner! Thanks for playing!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket It's another giveaway! I had so much fun doing the I Love Mondays Giveaway that I decided to do another one.

Well, that and the fact that Rocks in My Dryer is hosting a Giveaway blog carnival and I wanted to play, too.

So, I've thought long, I've thought hard. I paced the floor. I had two criteria: it had to be a book, because nothing, to me, is more delightful than receiving a new book. I also wanted something that would truly bless the winner, something that I've used and appreciated.

Are you ready?

coverThe Daily Bible was something I hesitated to buy for quite a while. We have plenty of Bibles in the house, and I just couldn't see buying one more Bible. But then I reasoned that if it made it easier to read the Bible through in a year, it was money well spent.

And it was.

The Daily Bible is arranged in chronological order. Reading the Bible in chronological order helped my understanding and retention of the Old Testament immensely. And since our history studies are chronological, it has also helped me see how the Bible fits into ancient world history.

It doesn't seem (to me) like it would make a difference, but something about picking up the book and just reading, rather than keeping track of a printed reading schedule and flipping through and finding the place in my regular Bible was a hindrance. Perhaps I'm not drinking enough coffee in the morning. As much as I would like to do my daily reading in my regular NIV Study Bible, the Daily Bible just worked better.

And yes, I'm an NIV kinda girl. Wanna make something of it?

I know you could listen to me go on and on all day, but here are the details on how to win this brand new copy of The Daily Bible:

If you would like to enter the drawing, please leave your name in the comments. Please leave your e-mail also so that I can contact you if you win. I am the only one who will see your e-mail, and I promise not to spam you. Nor will I sell your info. I do have my finger on the pulse of the marketing world, but I will stay strong in that regard.

U.S. citizens only. I'm very sorry if you're one of my international readers, but the thought of shipping something internationally (or, more accurately, paying for international shipping) frightens me.

I will pick a winner using a random number generator on Sunday, November 4, at approximately ten o'clock at night.

The results will be certified by my husband, Theodore. Theodore is not an accountant, but he writes computer programs for accountants, so I figure it's close enough.

If Theodore is asleep when the drawing takes place, he will not certify the results.

That's it! Please enter. And thanks.
